Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession focused on helping individuals restore, maintain, and improve their physical function, mobility, and overall well-being. It uses techniques such as exercise therapy (we use clinical pilates!), manual therapy, education, and modalities (ice/heat/acupuncture) to treat injuries, manage chronic conditions, and prevent future physical problems. Physiotherapists work with people of all ages (we treat both adults and kids!) to enhance recovery and promote healthy movement.

Emilee is the Clinical Director and Owner of Empower MVMT. She completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree at Queen’s University and has over 10 years of experience as a physiotherapist working with clients of all ages in a variety of clinical and community-based settings.

Emilee’s clinical areas of focus include Clinical Pilates and Pediatrics (gross motor development, orthopedic concerns, plagiocephaly and torticollis, pediatric pelvic floor care, etc.)

Outside of work, you can find her staying active (hiking, pilates, spin classes, strength training), travelling anywhere she can find a good deal, dreaming up her next home decor project, and spending time with her husband and dog (Tilly!)

Emily completed her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Alberta and has worked in a variety of clinical settings including: children’s hospitals, schools, and Children’s Treatment Centres.

Emily’s areas of focus include: fine motor skills, play and social skills, sensory processing and self-regulation, mindfulness for kids, and daily living skills. Emily works with children (ages 4+), youth, and their families using a neuroaffirming approach.

Emily’s meaningful occupations outside of work include: reading, crafting, yoga, spending time with her family.
